This mattress is designed with a soft woven cotton cover enhanced with a waterproof barrier. It cleans easily with a damp cloth or can be spot cleaned. The lock-stitched, waterproof binding to prevent liquids from seeping into the mattress, which can cause mold, odors and mildew. This entire mattress is pvc-free. This entire mattress is GREENGUARD GOLD certified for indoor air quality and low chemical emissions to help create a healthier sleeping environment for your baby. The mattress is thoroughly tested to meet or exceed stringent USA safety standards including those for flammability, phthalates, lead and CPSIA testing and it is passes crib mattress ASTM standards.
